Practitioners of Meifu Shinkage Ryu (MSR) learn a variety of skills and techniques using various small hand held weapons including the Japanese throwing nail (Bo-Shuriken) and the Japanese weighted chain (Fundo Kusari).
MSR is a gendai (modern) martial art, based on skills from traditional Japanese martial arts including Katori Shinto-ryu. The current headmaster of MSR is Yasuyuki Otsuka-sensei, who lives in Chiba, japan.
Member of the Manitoba Prairies Keikokai receive instruction from Mr. Dale Bullied, under supervision of Otsuka-sensei (grandmaster) in Japan. Dale is currently ranked Ikkyu (1st kyu) and is a personal student of Otsuka-Sensei. Mr Dale Bullied is a member of the Meifu Shinkage Ryu Canada™ Branch Leadership Association.
